I asked the question on X, and some answers surprised me.
(Norwegian version here.)
Among the options I listed were politicians, the medical profession, the police/judiciary, the media, and the church. The questions, the listed options, and the sample are of course completely unscientific, but the information that emerged nonetheless gives food for thought, at least for me.
Some people expressed that people within some or all of the listed options had disappointed them, but what surprised me was the disappointment many expressed in ordinary people around them. Tina Quist’s comment received the most attention, and she writes as follows:
“Most people disappointed me enormously. The average Norwegian, Ola and Kari. Most of them completely lost their minds, and a disturbing number developed full-blown Nazi tendencies. This, of course, also affects the milieus you [i.e., I] mention. Scary times we live in, where common sense and backbone have disappeared.”
To Tina’s comment, Kyrre Gnaver writes: “I agree. If we had direct democracy during covid, I am convinced that compulsory vaccination would have been adopted.” This comment expresses general distrust, not of politicians and authorities, but of people we interact with daily. I have never thought about that before, but does Kyrre have a point?
The saddest thing was reading about those experiencing the closest turning their backs on them. Karen writes “all of these,” referring to my list of those who had disappointed her, and continues, “including my two adult children and my now ex-husband.” The sentence is short but still says a lot. A lot that I don’t interpret in any other way than pain, disappointment, sadness, and perhaps bitterness.
Thor Inge Slåttedalen writes, “Everyone who didn’t ask critical questions… [disappointed me]”. I agree! There weren’t too many out there asking critical questions. Are there too many today?
Jonas A. Lind was most disappointed “with himself. I took the first two doses.” Leiebyraü was also most disappointed with himself. “Walked right into the trap,” is his comment on X. I hope both have forgiven themselves and are free from long-term effects.
Those realizing their own mistakes have my great respect. But how many among them do we find in politics, the media, the church, the police/judiciary, and the medical profession?
Takk for oppmerksomheten.
As I commented in the Norwegian version a while back, nobody disappointed me. All the puppets did what their masters demanded. The main medical puppet, Camilla Stoltenberg did what was demanded of her, the main military puppet, Espen Nakstad, did what was demanded of him, and the main political puppet, Erna Solberg, did what was demanded of her.
I even remember the little sharade on 12.03.2020, immediately after they were done with the press conferance. They had just told everyone about NOT shaking hands, and they went towards eachother to shake hands, and created a sort of awcward situation where they didn't shake hands, but rubbed elbows instead.
All this got stuck in my memory, and on 12.31.2020, when they rolled out the vaxxine in Scandinavia I knew it was all a sharade.
I heard in April of 2020 by NRK's anointed "expert" that it would take at least two to two and a half years to develope a vaxxine, so when they rolled it out eight months later I knew the fix was in.
Because I have been a subscriber to the substack of @Sasha Latypova I know that it takes at least ten years to develop a vaxxine.
I do not speak on her behalf, but I interpret her as saying that all vaxxines are meant to harm, and not benefit anyone.
